At the heart of RSR pt1, Bloodtiger, is Forza Ninetails, an Amber Krowen (a rabbit-like people) whose life has been shaped by war, black-ops service, and a growing internal corruption. Forza is living in hiding on Tier, working with Asuya Co., an “independent” military logistics outfit that is also entangled with Systems Alliance intelligence. Forza’s days are dominated by nightmares and missing memories, all orbiting a name that keeps returning like a curse: Jethro.
Where the story begins (rev 3.1 focus)
In Who Templar Hunt (rev 3.1) (now called 🟩 RSR - Bloodtiger), Forza is assigned a mission to reach a Sun Jin cargo freighter crash site before recovery forces can sanitize it. The goal is simple on paper: salvage data that might reveal Sun Jin intentions on Tier. But the crash becomes a trap. Inside the wreckage, Forza’s team is shattered, and Forza is drawn into a brutal confrontation with Kiara Quall, a powerful Templar who recognizes the same darkness inside Forza—linking both of them to Jethro.
That collision sets the tone for Red Sun Rising: high-stakes action driven by intimate psychological pressure, where identity, loyalty, and trauma are not background flavor but the engine of the plot. Oh yeah and there’s space magic that has a pretty solid background story and reason to exist, so there’s that.

For the best experience, read Rev 3.1 of Red Sun Rising: Who Templar Hunt (now called 🟩 RSR - Bloodtiger). It’s the most up-to-date, lore-accurate version, with cleaner chronology, smoother story flow, and fewer perspective jumps than earlier revisions.
It also clarifies details that can be confusing in Rev 3.0 (like the Bloodtiger / Shard of Jethro relationship), and adds a few new Eveny scenes plus connective material that ties the story together more tightly. Within Forza’s POV arc, Kiara Quall serves as one of the primary antagonists, operating in sustained “full Bloodtiger” mode.
- Status: Rev 3.1 (🟩 RSR - Bloodtiger) is a work in progress (with additional epilogue scenes planned).
- Earlier revisions (no new additions planned):
- rev2.5 — ~95% complete, but non-canon / reference-only. It contains significantly outdated plot points and is missing some characters introduced in later rewrites.
- 🟡 Who Templar Hunt (rev3) — a rewrite/improvement attempt of 2.5 that reached roughly halfway through the story; considered canon-adjacent.
